Based on input from nine areas, this toolkit provides a framework to set up and run effective multi-agency task and targeting meetings, including case studies and template documents.
Task and targeting toolkit
Who should use this guidance?
Local authorities and other agencies who can work together to address and prevent rough sleeping.
In brief
Task and targeting multi-agency meetings bring together agencies such as housing, police, outreach and health to agree action plans targeted to the needs of individuals who are, or who are at risk of, sleeping rough. Attendees are assigned actions and report back at the next meeting, creating urgency and accountability between partner agencies in order to achieve outcomes for clients.
This toolkit aims to provide a framework to help local authorities, in partnership with other local organisations, to develop strong relationships, share appropriate information and work together to provide consistent responses that will enable individuals who are rough sleeping, or at risk of becoming street homeless, to access suitable accommodation and support for their individual needs.
This toolkit, based on feedback from 9 areas, provides advice, information and guidance on the following:
- The aim of task and targeting
- How to form and work in effective partnerships with other agencies
- How to structure task and targeting meetings, with example documents
