Leadership Summit 2021 - Building Back Stronger
As 'business to usual' returns, key questions arise: What comes after? What is the new big picture? How do I lead my team into the future?
The pandemic has, and is continuing to transform how we work, and how we understand both challenges and solutions to homelessness. The choices of homelessness sector leaders today will determine their success in building a transition to a more impactful, inclusive and resilient organisations and sectors tomorrow.
This two-day residential event will focus how leaders can learn from the challenges and build on the opportunities from the pandemic. Presentations, discussions and workshops will focus on how you can lead your organisation into the future, giving leaders an opportunity to reflect and generate ideas as we emerge from crisis mode.
Sessions will be split into four streams:
- Creating an inclusive sector
Recognising and valuing difference, redressing inequality and disadvantage is essential for maximum performance as an organisation, we will discuss Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the homelessness sector and the roles of leaders.
- The future of health and housing
The powerful link between health and homelessness has been bought into sharp relief by the pandemic, but what are the implications for health and homelessness now and how do we sustain and build partnerships for the future?
- Building a resilient workforce
Burnout, labour shortages and the increasing need for homelessness services have highlighted how crucial having a highly effective workforce is to the homelessness sector, we will look at how we cultivate an environment that allows our employees to flourish.
- Ensuring sustainable growth
Making sure organisations remain financially strong is vital for each organisation wanting to do impactful work, so what are the business opportunities available for future growth?
During the sessions, you will have the opportunity to hear from expert speakers and ask questions. You will also have the unique and vital opportunity to learn from your peers, discussing issues and asking questions of other people who have similar roles as you.
You'll also be able to join the Homeless Link Annual Members Meeting with the opportunity to hear about Homeless Link's year and ask us questions.
This event is for Chief Executives, Strategic Directors, and emerging leaders of small and medium-sized homelessness organisations. The number of places is limited so we can explore issues in-depth and help us stay Covid-safe.

Nestled in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside, Ardencote is an independent hotel with leisure and business facilities in a tranquil setting, a perfect place to get space from the day-to-day to think strategically about the future. The venue's privacy, and with the event being held under the Chatham House Rule, attendees will be able to network and share information freely and hold confidential discussions with their peers.
We're working closely with the venue and putting in place a number of measures to ensure you're in safe hands. Full details of all our Covid safety guidance will be sent to delegates to ensure that everyone knows what to expect.
The cost to attend is £350 per person. This includes all conference materials, lunch and refreshments on both days, dinner and accommodation in the hotel on the 11th and breakfast on the 12th November. You'll also have access to Ardencote's Leisure Club facilities.
