Turning Tides is looking for a Deputy Manager to support the Recovery Services Manager with the management of our Recovery Services. This includes day to day management of the Recovery Project service, the building, and providing guidance, supervision and support to staff to ensure the provision of a recovery-focused service, working with people with complex and challenging recovery needs, utilising elements of personalisation and strength based practice in order to improve engagement and promote positive outcomes.

Turning Tides are a community led homelessness organisation that puts clients and local people at the heart of our mission to end homelessness.   You will be joining an established, friendly team addressing issues faced by homeless men and women in the communities in which we work. 

We have gone from supporting a handful of people in the coastal town of Worthing, to providing a range of services to over 1,700 people in Worthing, Adur, Littlehampton, Horsham and Mid Sussex. We have over 5,000 supporters, 300 volunteers and 100 staff members to date.

The post holders will support the Registered Care Manager to ensure compliance with CQC requirements at the Recovery Project.

Candidates should have good knowledge of alcohol, drugs and issues around addiction and relapse management as well as knowledge and practical experience of using person-centred tools to support recovery and development of clients, with the ability to transfer such knowledge and any associated skills.

Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage and plan own workload as well as meeting deadlines and targets is essential. Candidates must have good IT Skills and be able to manage a team.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have substantial experience of leading teams and working with vulnerable people with an understanding of the difficulties they experience in accessing services. You will also have experience of supporting clients with complex needs and addressing these needs through effective case work management.

You must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage and plan your own workload and meet deadlines and targets is essential. Good IT Skills are a must.
